Israel Independence Day — the historic return of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel is a modern miracle.

The national anthem: Hatikva

Israel Independence Day is celebrated annually on the anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel, according to the Hebrew calendar, on 5 Iyar (this year postponed one day because of the Sabbath). The day preceding this celebration is devoted to the memory of those who gave their lives for the achievement of the country’s independence and its continued existence. This proximity is intended to remind people of the heavy price paid for independence. On this day the entire nation remembers its debt and expresses eternal gratitude to its sons and daughters who gave their lives for the achievement of the country’s independence and its continued existence.

Israel: Defying the Odds
Amazing facts about Israel.

In 1948 there was only one city in Israel with more than 100,000 residents – Tel Aviv-Yafo. Today, 14 cities number more than 100,000 residents, of which six number more than 200,000 residents: Jerusalem, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Haifa, Rishon LeZiyyon, Ashdod, and Petah Tiqwa.

Israel’s 63rd Independence Day celebrations will commence on Monday evening, May 9, when the state flag is raised to full mast at a national ceremony on Mount Herzl, at which twelve torches are lit. Theodor Herzl was the leader and founder of the Zionist movement and increased international recognition for the need of a Jewish state.

On May 14, 1948, the day the British Mandate expired, the new Jewish state – the State of Israel – was formally established in parts of what was known as the British Mandate for Palestine. With the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, Jewish independence, lost two thousand years earlier, was restored. Independence Day is filled with festivities and celebrations including picnics, barbecues, family gatherings and nature trips. Balconies, car windows, store fronts and more are liberally decorated with Israeli flags.

Independence Day is a celebration of the renewal of the Jewish state in the Land of Israel, the birthplace of the Jewish people. In this land, the Jewish people began to develop its distinctive religion and culture some 4,000 years ago, and here it has preserved an unbroken physical presence, for centuries as a sovereign state, at other times under foreign domination. Throughout their long history, the yearning to return to the land has been the focus of Jewish life.

Since its establishment, Israel continues to be a homeland to the thousands who make their way to Israel annually. It is home to some of the holiest religious sites of the three major religions, all which enjoy the democratic rights delineated in the Declaration of the Establishment of the State of Israel.

Israel’s official memorial day, officially known as Israeli Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Terrorism Remembrance Day. It honors the memory of 22,867 soldiers killed in the line of duty and 3,971 civilian victims of terror. National memorial services are held in the presence of Israel’s top leadership and military personnel. The day opens with a siren the preceding evening at 20:00 (8:00 pm), given that in the Hebrew calendar system, the day begins at sunset. The siren is heard all over the country and lasts for one minute, during which Israelis stop everything (including driving, which stops highways) and stand in silence, commemorating the fallen and showing respect. Many religious Jews say prayers for the souls of the fallen soldiers at this time. The official ceremony to mark the opening of the day takes place at the Western Wall, and the flag of Israel is lowered to half staff.

A two-minute siren is heard at 11:00 the following morning, which marks the opening of the official memorial ceremonies and private remembrance gatherings at each cemetery where soldiers are buried. The day officially draws to a close between 19:00 and 20:00 (7–8 p.m.) in the official ceremony of Israel Independence Day on Mount Herzl, when the flag of Israel is returned to full staff. This video was shot at Machane Yehuda – שוק מחנה יהודה -, Jerusalem’s busy central market at 11 am on May 9, 2011.

Oh, you men in other lands where you’ll hear this tape, can’t you wake up, my brother? Or, does It blind you? Would you throw It out and call It false prophecy? When, It’s vindicated right before you, by the world, by the time, by the peoples, and by the Holy Spirit Who wrote It. It’s vindicated, both naturally, spiritually, materially. Everything that He said is fulfilled and proven.
Israel in her land; drove them in there, herded them in there, like sheep. The wolves got after her and run them back to safety, to their own land. Remember, Israel is only promised to be blessed as long as she was in her land. God never blesses Israel outside of the land. Abraham went outside the land, was condemned. Everyone that leaves the land is condemned. God only can bless Israel when she stays in her homeland, and she is there now as a nation. And the Church is called; she’s just only waiting for the Rapture, of the Bride taken out.
The Seals are open. It’s revealed to us. We see what they left off. You that want to debate and fuss about the serpent’s seed, and water baptism, and so forth, you’re blinded and don’t know it. The god of this world has blinded you, to It, and you don’t know it. Wonder I had such a time this morning, fighting through them pressures!
So their prophets can be revealed in this last day; can’t do it, to the Trumpets, of the Feast of the Trumpets.

Notice another great sign. The Jews are in their homeland; their own nation, their own money, a member of the United Nations. They got their own army. They got everything. They’re in their homeland; which, Jesus said, “Learn a parable of the fig tree.” There they are, right back in their nation. This day this Scripture is fulfilled, the Jews in their homeland.
This day this Scripture is fulfilled, the Laodicea Church Age.
This day this Scripture,Matthew 24, is fulfilled. The world is in a corruption, the whole thing; nations against nations, earthquakes in divers places, great whirlwinds coming down, shaking the nations, and so forth, great disasters everywhere. This day this Scripture is fulfilled.

Notice, two thousand, yeah, twenty-five hundred years the Jews have been scattered to every nation under heaven. As God hardened Pharaoh’s heart, bringing them back, He hardened Hitler’s heart, Mussolini’s heart, and so forth, till He drove them back to Palestine. Coming back they have made them a nation again, and on May the sixth, 1947, the Jewish flag was raised over Israel for the first time for twenty-five hundred years. The oldest flag in the world was raised for the first time in twenty-five hundred years. And He said in the last days He’d raise up an ensign over Jerusalem, showing that the time is at hand.
And notice, here not long ago I saw a prophetic reel played from over there, and they’re bringing in those Jews by the thousands, by airplanes. You’ve seen it in the paper and “Look” and “Life” magazines and so forth. Thousands of Jews returning, and they asked them, said, “What are you returning for?” Old crippled people packing on their backs their young ones, was. Said, “Are you coming back to the homeland to die?”
Said, “No, we’re coming back to see the Messiah.”
Jesus said, “When you see the fig tree putting forth its buds and all the other trees putting forth their buds, know that time is nigh,” or spring is nigh, summer. “So when you see these things come to pass, lift up your heads; your redemption’s drawing nigh.”

Tonight as this world is honeycombed by communism… Oh, I was talking to a man awhile ago one of the best authorities I believe that I know of, and when he spoke things concerning this nation and communism, it would shake you to your knees. Right. How it’s honeycombed, there’s nothing solid any more, not even in our own country hardly. There’s only one solid thing that I know that will stand; that’s the Rock, Jesus Christ. We receive a Kingdom that cannot be moved. And in this day when everything else is falling, we have a solid Foundation, the Lord Jesus Christ. Come into it, friends; it’s a Shelter in a time of storm. What a marvelous thing.

He saw all this coming to pass. We see the Jews now. The Bible said that Jerusalem… And it would blossom as a rose, and how they have irrigated that land. The prophet spoke and said, “That day that water will come from the north.” There was no water there then, no springs there then, but in the last few years there’s a gusher come up and is watering the valleys. And they’re irrigating; is one of the greatest agricultural spots for its size in the world. And all these great chemicals right in the Dead Sea, there’s enough chemicals found in the bottom of it that all the wealth of the world couldn’t buy, of chemicals, uranium and everything else, right in the bottom of the Dead Sea, which now belongs to Israel.

Fig tree putting forth its bud… Not only that, but the other trees are putting forth its buds. The communist is putting forth buds; the antichrist is putting forth buds, and the Church of God is putting forth buds. She’s blooming out into her power again. The palmerworm eat part of it; the cankerworm eat part of it; the hookworm eat part of it; the caterpillar eat part of it, but God said it’ll live again. She’s putting forth buds now. The tree’s are putting forth buds. Daniel foresaw it and rejoiced.

Now, “At this time…” He said. “And at that time,” the 12th chapter…
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince that standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such was never since there was a nation even to that time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Oh, my. Aren’t you glad your name is on His Book? When He’s…Daniel over here saw Him come to the Ancient of Days, Whose hair was as white as wool. And He opened up the Books, and they were judged, every man out of the Books: the great white throne judgment.
