Lord, Help me to always give 100% at work…..
12% on Monday
23% on Tuesday
40% on Wednesday
20% on Thursday
5% on Friday
about people who give 110%. I know that sounds kinda cool but I’ll settle for just a solid 100% on whatever needs to be done. Frankly, when I hear that someone is giving 110% at work I fear he/she is perhaps borrowing that extra 10% from some other important area of life. That may mean you’re giving 90% to being the husband or dad you want to be. Or ignoring keeping yourself sharp physically by skipping those 30-minute morning workouts.
On the other hand if you want to give less than 100% at work because you don’t enjoy the work or you feel you are owed something, then my advice is to look for other work immediately.
Today it’s not about the time, the title or the perks. It’s about being energized by embracing your passions, engaging your talents, making a contribution – all in a way that rewards you financially. Those together should equal 100% at work – and a legitimate fulfillment of your purpose and calling. Anything less is a good way to recognize that perhaps you’ve settled for a “job.”
